Every material that comes from the plateau carries something of the plateau inside it — the altitude, the cold, the particular quality of light at 4,000 meters. The yak bone in this bracelet is no different. Each bead — brown, white and yellow — is the earth's own record of itself, worn on the wrist of someone who now carries that record forward.

It is simply what materials do. They remember where they came from.

At the center, one Dzi bead — ancient, its pattern different for every person who receives this bracelet. The earth held the Dzi too.
