The Holy Lake Bracelet

In Tibetan belief, lakes are the origin of life itself — feeding rivers, irrigating land, and sustaining both humans and livestock across generations. It is no wonder, then, that turquoise became the sacred symbol of the lake: Tibetans believe the stone carries the same spiritual energy and vitality as living water, making it a bridge between the natural world and the human spirit.

This deep bond between people and lakes gave rise to the legend of Sammo Tso. In Tibetan, “Tso” means lake, and the princess who bore this name was as precious to her father, the king, as water itself.

Yet within the palace lived a hidden threat — her maid, a demon in human form, who had come with a single purpose: to destroy the royal family and claim the throne. Her method was deception. One day she told the princess, “Even a golden holy bowl will not sink in the lake.” The princess believed her, set the bowl upon the water, and watched it vanish beneath the surface. She jumped in after it — and nearly drowned, saved only by the Dragon King who dwelt in the deep.

It was in those desperate moments beneath the water that everything became clear. Guided by the Dragon King, Tso returned to the surface, exposed the maid’s treachery, and brought her scheme to an end.

It is this story that inspired us to make the Holy Lake Bracelet / Sammo Tso Bracelet.

Water does not fight what it meets — it moves around it, flows through it, and always finds its way. This bracelet carries that same spirit.
